Home News & Events News Society New BANES council funding for Citizens Advice

BANES council has announced a new plan to help fund Citizens Advice. This contract starts in April and will last 5 years.

This new plan will allow us to keep giving high quality advice to residents on a range of topics. Like employment, benefits, housing and more. We will also be working closely with Bath Job Centre. With this we will aim to help younger residents access job opportunities. As well as this the new law clinic will allow 15 students from Bath Spa University to gain legal experience. All of this will allow us to expand our services further than ever.

Our CEO, Simon Lawson, said this about it “I’m really proud to have secured this new contract to continue our vital work for another five years. We are on the front-line of the cost-of-living crisis and our advisers are working flat out to help the residents of Bath & North East Somerset cope with a huge range of advice problems. We are needed now more than ever.”
