It’s that time of the year when we start wearing jumpers and turning on our heating.
However, many of our clients will be facing the choice of Heating or Eating.
These clients may be bereaved and suffering the dual impacts of losing a loved one and a provider. Many clients have physical and mental health concerns that make day-to-day activities harder.
Since March 2021, our volunteers and staff have helped nearly 900 households with their fuel poverty, providing £50,000 of financial outcomes.
More clients are coming to us partly due to rising prices and the withdrawal of the £20 Universal Credit uplift. Winter is going to make things even harder for many people.
